Delhi Cantonment Board is responsible for overall sanitation of the Delhi Cantonment such as garbage lifting, waste disposal, cleaning of drains, toilets, PGLs, public roads & various public places. In order to provide a clean and safe environment, dustbins are placed at suitable locations and the waste is collected mechanically from there for disposal. Delhi Cantonment is maintaining over 1000 dustbins and 1400 manpower for provisioning of conservancy services. The Board is also maintaining Sewer Jetting machine and Road Broomer of its own and other machines like JCB, Super Succor etc. are engaged through outsourcing agencies.

Delhi Cantonment Board is implementing guidelines issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs under Swachh Bharat Mission. Regular cleaning drives with public participation are being encouraged. Delhi Cantonment was ranked 1^st Cleanest Cantonment across 62 Cantonments in India by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, consecutively for the year 2018 & 2019. Delhi Cantonment Board is ODF++ certified city as well as also one star rating certified city in Garbage free city.
